How to Search the Fulton County Court Docket
Indiana MyCase is the free remote starting point for a Fulton County docket search. It pulls public, non-confidential summaries from both Fulton Circuit Court and Fulton Superior Court. An exact case number works best. You can also search a name, business, citation number, cross-reference, or attorney. Pick Fulton County, then narrow the category to Criminal & Citation, Civil, Family, or Probate. Ordinary public searches cost nothing. MyCase may show a CAPTCHA, though, and it caps results at 1,000 matches.
A broad name match is only a lead. Check the court, case type, status, file date, and public caption before trusting it. Add a date range, category, or status when the results pile up. The clerk counter, phone, fax, mail, courthouse inspection, and the court office all work too. Live proceedings may appear through INCS. For older files, missing images, current financial answers, or certified copies, go to the clerk.
- Open MyCase and choose the Case, Name, or Attorney tab.
- Select Fulton County and the right category.
- Enter one identifier, person name, or business name.
- Confirm Circuit or Superior before reading events.
- Ask the clerk for missing or certified material.
MyCase Fields for Fulton County Dockets
MyCase splits identifiers apart so you can search with the fact you actually hold. Keep each search to one identifier. A traffic citation number is not the court cause number. Local cause numbers begin with the Superior code 25D01. On a Fulton County docket, 25C01 marks Circuit. 25D01 marks Superior, followed by year, case type, and sequence.
| Field | Use | Fulton Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Case Number | Exact cause | Check 25C01 or 25D01 |
| Citation | Ticket identifier | Not the cause number |
| Name or Business | Public party search | Select Fulton County |
| Attorney | Name or bar number | Use exact data when known |
| Status and Dates | Narrow results | All, Open, or Closed |
Sounds-like searching rescues uncertain spellings but widens the net. Party access is separate, a verified process for your own case. A matching name alone never expands public access.
What a Court Docket Shows
A Fulton County court docket is a structured case summary. It is not always the full official file. The header names the court and its status. Modules can list parties, charges, bonds, related matters, cross-references, or financial data. The chronological summary tracks filings, service, notices, hearings, motions, orders, judgments, dispositions, transfers, dismissals, and sentencing. Even a document icon may hit an access limit.
| Case Number | Uniform identifier with county and court codes. |
|---|---|
| Court and Type | Maintaining court and case category. |
| Status and File Date | Portal state and initiating date. |
| Parties | Public roles and names, subject to redaction. |
| Events | Dated filings, settings, results, and orders. |
| Disposition | Recorded outcome, distinct from an allegation. |
| Documents | Images only when public download is allowed. |
Financial data can go stale, and a payment link proves nothing about closure. For current costs, fines, judgment money, child support, and payment status, the clerk speaks last.
Fulton County Docket Terms in Plain Words
Small wording shifts carry real meaning on a docket. Filed, set, continued, dismissed, disposed, and sentenced are not interchangeable. A converted entry may just be older data moved into a new system, not fresh action. Read the exact label and date.
- Chronological Case Summary
- The dated running case history.
- Hearing setting
- A scheduled event, not proof it occurred.
- Continuance
- A court-approved move to another date.
- Disposition
- The outcome of a case or charge.
- Cross-reference
- A linked identifier, often a citation.
- Event document
- A filing or order attached when access permits.
Missing order in the public summary? Pin down the event, then ask the Fulton County clerk for the file itself.
Which Courts Keep Dockets
Fulton County runs two active trial courts with one clerk serving both. The Indiana Judicial Branch county page names the Circuit and Superior courts. The former Fulton County Court, 25E01, is abolished. Rochester, Akron, Kewanna, and Fulton have no current city or town court. Appeals plus federal cases live in other systems.
| Court | Docket Covers | Search Route |
|---|---|---|
| Fulton Circuit, 25C01 | Juvenile, rotating felonies, civil and probate | MyCase, clerk, Room 315 |
| Fulton Superior, 25D01 | Small claims, infractions, misdemeanors, traffic felonies, other filings | MyCase, clerk, Room 216 |
| Indiana appellate courts | Appeals | State appellate search |
| U.S. District Court | Federal matters | PACER, South Bend Division |
Local rules send small claims and infractions to Superior and juvenile cases to Circuit. Other felonies rotate weekly. Civil and probate filings may open in either court, and a later order can transfer a case across.
Fulton County Court Work by the Numbers
The Indiana Court Online Reports system reports annual activity, not individual docket entries. Its 2024 combined report counted 5,696 new filings. It also counted 5,060 dispositions, and 5,029 pending at year-end. Those are workload categories, not unique people, live 2026 cases, or hearings. Superior absorbs many violations-bureau matters, while Circuit reports juvenile work separately.
Never add the combined report to the court-specific ones; that double-counts. The figures explain why docket filters help, yet they never say what happened in any single case. The official ICOR source publishes these reports.

Its selector separates countywide, Circuit, and Superior views.
Finding Court Dates and Settings
Begin with the newest hearing event. MyCase can show date, time, judge, court, cancellation status, reason, or result. An old date may linger after a reset. So check the latest entry first, and when timing matters, follow the full Fulton County court calendar process.
The clerk posts no standalone public daily calendar. Check MyCase instead, look for the courtroom on Indiana Courtroom Live Streams, and call the court. Circuit lists 574-223-4339. Superior lists 574-223-3506. Court office hours close from noon to 1:00 p.m. The clerk handles filing, service, payment, and certified setting records. Watching a stream is not participation, and it does not prove a hearing stayed set.
From Paper Index to Fulton County MyCase
Fulton local rules set computerized records back to 1989. The Odyssey list brought both courts into the statewide system on April 24, 2017. Today MyCase shows public summaries, and approved e-filing providers submit filings. The clerk keeps the physical and certified records. E-filing is not public search.
Microfilm, counter inspection, mail, court reporters, and certified copies still matter. MyCase can lag, and document access varies by case code. The modern system is a path to the local record. It is not a substitute for the office that holds it. The state Fulton County overview gives the court's own details.

It confirms the two-court route into Indiana's services.
Public Access to Dockets
Indiana presumes public access, but public never means unrestricted. A Fulton County court docket can list an event while withholding its attachment. Juvenile, mental-health, treatment, problem-solving, medical, family, victim, witness, and sealed material may all be restricted. Protected identifiers must be redacted. A failed search might mean a new filing. It might mean an old index, an expungement, or a different identifier entirely.
Key Indiana rules:
Access Rule 4 makes public access the baseline.
Access Rule 5 defines confidential records.
Access Rule 6 governs extraordinary exclusion.
Administrative Rule 9 governs remote, courthouse, and daily docket access.
Indiana Code 5-14-3 is the general public-record law, subject to court rules for court files.
Ask the clerk whether a redacted record exists and which rule or order controls it. Use the live rules, updated effective July 1, 2026.
Fulton County Drug Court Docket Limits
Local rules let the courts charge Alcohol and Drug Program and Drug Court fees. That is about all they put on paper for the public. No roster, calendar, coordinator contact, eligibility sheet, or outcome report is published. A public criminal docket might still show a referral, a fee, or a disposition. Treatment records, testing, medical data, and supervision stay protected under Rule 5.
Ask the court or the clerk for what is lawfully public. A fee alone never proves participation. The Indiana Court Alcohol and Drug Programs office offers state-level context. It is not a verified local contact, though.
The Clerk and Docket Records
Dawn Ziemek is the Fulton County Clerk of Courts. She serves both the Circuit and Superior Courts. Her office handles filing for civil, criminal, family, probate, estate, bond, and small-claims cases. It keeps the judgment dockets. It processes traffic infractions, prepares certified copies, receives court money, and supports juries. Staff cannot give legal advice.
Check the current clerk page before you call. It lists 574-223-2911, which differs from the number in the state directory. For a certified copy, be ready with the case number. Have the exact document, the certification type, the count, and how you want it delivered. Confirm the unpublished fee and turnaround first. That saves a second trip.

A Historic Home for Fulton County Dockets
Fulton County dockets have an online face. Yet the clerk who keeps them works in a courthouse finished in 1896. Rochester became the county seat in 1836. The building at 815 Main Street is Bedford limestone and steel. It carries Romanesque National Register status. It is a historic civic landmark, not a modern records center with a published self-service map.
The court publishes no map of public terminals, parking, Wi-Fi, lockers, or security screening. Circuit Court sits in Room 315. Superior Court sits in Room 216. If your visit depends on accessibility details, call ahead. The National Register record documents the site and its history.

It confirms the address and the building's historic character. The Circuit Court page adds the local view.

It identifies Room 315 and the direct phone line. The Superior Court page provides the final court view.

It identifies Room 216 and the Superior office.
Fulton County Traffic Docket Number Trap
A Fulton County traffic ticket carries more than one identifier. Picking the wrong one can stall both a docket search and a payment. The ticket or OTT number identifies the citation itself. The Fulton County Clerk then assigns a court cause number starting with 25D01. MyCase offers separate fields for Case Number and Citation Number. Match each value to its labeled field. The county also tells payers to obtain the cause number before using the local payment route.
The clerk's Traffic Infraction Division is the local fallback. Its page lists 574-223-7711 and weekday hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Documented payment channels include in-person cash, card by telephone, mail, and PayGOV. To pay by mail, send the signed ticket. Include a cashier's check or money order payable to Fulton County Clerk, the cause number, and a stamped return envelope for your receipt. Personal and company checks are not accepted. Online PayGOV uses Fulton location code 36031 and may add a convenience fee.
Payment is separate from reading the Fulton County court docket. After paying, save the receipt and ask when the posting should appear. MyCase financial data can lag. For a current balance, a certified disposition, failure-to-appear status, or a missing traffic document, use the Traffic Clerk. Indiana's electronic citation system can transmit citation data into Odyssey. That does not promise the citation image itself will be downloadable.
Note: Use the citation number to find a match. Use the cause number for the court file. Use the clerk for current payment status.
Court Dockets by City in Fulton County
Fulton County has four incorporated places in the 2020 Census ranking. Those are Rochester, Akron, Kewanna, and Fulton. None of them has a separate court in the official directory or MyCase. So search Fulton County, then verify whether your case sits in Circuit or Superior. City administrative records stay with the municipal custodian. Pleadings, judgments, citations, and dockets all belong to the county courts.
Rochester Court Docket
Population 6,270. Use MyCase and the courthouse clerk, not City Hall.
Akron Court Docket
Population 1,125. No separate Akron court was found.
Kewanna Court Docket
Population 576. Judicial records route to the county clerk.
Fulton Court Docket
Population 303. Select Fulton County and confirm 25C01 or 25D01.
Leiters Ford appears in tourism material. The official state list of incorporated places does not include it among the four.
Map and Directions to the Fulton County Courthouse
Circuit Court and Superior Court files, and the Clerk of Courts' records, are all kept at the Fulton County Courthouse in downtown Rochester. Circuit Court is in Room 315 and Superior Court is in Room 216. The 1895-1896 Bedford limestone courthouse is the county's public access point, and its historic status means there is no published modern self-service floor plan or public-terminal map.

Both Circuit (574-223-4339) and Superior (574-223-3506) close their offices from noon to 1:00 p.m., so plan a visit around that window. No parking map, security-screening schedule, or current accessibility detail is published beyond a 2012 ADA self-evaluation, so calling the relevant court ahead is the safer choice for an accessibility-dependent visit.
